Veterinarian Technician – Main Shelter-Clinic

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Veterinarian Technician at Yavapai Humane Society’s Main Shelter-Clinic.  Candidates with a positive, outgoing, energetic personality with strong customer service skills, computer skills, problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in helping animals should apply.  Essential functions are managing multiple tasks, completing medical examinations of animals; administrating vaccination, prep for surgery and assisting during surgery, monitoring the health of shelter animals; renders animal first aid and emergency treatment as necessary, cleaning kennels, feeding, watering and general care for animals, and updating electronic records.  This position requires a lot of standing and walking, and frequent crouching or stooping, kneeling, reaching and bending. The candidate for this position must be able to lift and carry, pull or push 50-70 pounds unassisted.  High school diploma or G.E.D.; veterinarian technician certification or one year experience in this field, is required. Veterinarian Technician – Spay/Neuter Clinic

Development Associate

We are currently recruiting for a Development Associate for the Development Division.  This position is part-time, working 15 hours a week, with the primary role of this position is to manage the core department operations including gift processing, donor receipts/acknowledgment, maintaining integrity of donor and contributed income financial records, assisting with grant writing/management and assistance with fundraising events. Must have at least one year experience managing donor/prospect databases effectively, posses’ analytical skills in data entry and database management. Development Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Development Assistant for the Development Division.  This position is part-time, working 15 hours a week, with the primary role of this position is Donor prospecting, acquisition and retention; public speaking and participation in organization signature events. This position interacts with donors on the telephone or in person, answering questions and providing information about the organization and is responsible for maintaining relationships with donors to ensure ongoing giving. Internships:

Marketing and PR Intern

(10-20 hours/week, unpaid - college credit may apply)
The Yavapai Humane Society is seeking a Marketing Intern.  Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Development, the Marketing and PR Intern assists the Marketing Department with day-today activities. He/she will help generate a greater awareness of the Yavapai Humane Society throughout our service areas.  The intern will also assist with special projects, special events (adoptions, fundraisers, etc.) and cause marketing campaigns.
