The Yavapai Humane Society is hiring a part-time, 25 hrs/wk New Hope and Foster Care Coordinator for the Receiving Department. Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D equivalency preferably supplemented with office experience and current knowledge of operating standard office equipment; including but not limited to MS Office. It would be a plus to have previous work experience working with dogs, cats, and/or other animals along with a working knowledge of animal breeds, diseases, medical conditions, animal handling and behavior. Must have clarity of speech and hearing and must have visual acuity. Must have sufficient manual dexterity, which gives the ability to lift and handle animals, and clean the facilities. Must be able to lift/move up to 70 pounds and work in both an office and animal shelter environment. Essential functions include finding and establishing relationships with partner agencies and coordinating with these agencies the transport of animals; general receptionist and clerical support to customers; updating, verifying, and maintaining Receiving files efficiently and accurately; processing animal intakes and outtakes. This position does require a valid Arizona driver’s license due to the responsibility of transporting animals.
